Welcome to Riverside Covenant Church

Riverside Covenant Church exists to help you understand that God loves you, desires to have a relationship with you, and wants to provide you with a plan for life that is meaningful and purposeful. Come and experience what God is already doing! Come and discover what God wants to do! Come and live life with us!

We then worship together at 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. each Sunday at 1850 Woodland Avenue, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. The church is visible from the intersection of Salisbury and Lindberg.

New to Riverside?

I am glad you found our website and hope you are discovering more about us. We are diverse people at various stages in our spiritual journeys who are working together to love God, to love each other, and to love Tippecanoe County and beyond. If you are considering attending our Sunday worship service, I am confident that you will find friendly and authentic people, biblical teaching, and good coffee.

Our goal is to partner with God in planting seeds of faith, cultivating disciples of Jesus Christ, and producing life transformation and community change. Join us as we journey together.

Final Facilities Discussion on Sunday, August 8

This Sunday, August 8, we will have our final facilities discussion following the worship service.  Please plan to join us for this final discussion before our congregational vote on August 15.  There will be no time for discussion at the August 15 meeting.

We desire your participation in this discernment process and hope that you will attend the Sunday discussion or comment online.  Below are links to more information and comments.

Riverside Block Party Coming This Saturday, August 28

Riverside's 3rd Annual Block Party is coming up this Saturday, August 28 from 12 to 4 p.m. on the church grounds.  We will be having a free cookout, games, cotton candy, snow cones, dunk tank, jump castle, face painting, tie dying and more--tons of free family fun for the whole community. Please plan to join us and invite your neighbors and friends to this celebration of our neighborhood and community.

Show Your Appreciation

We have an opportunity to show appreciation to the woman who cleans our church building every week. She is expecting a baby any day now and will be forfeiting her income to stay home for a few weeks after the birth. If you would like to make a contribution toward a gift card for her, please drop your donation in the box at the back of the sanctuary.

Mission to Lafayette

MISSION COMPLETE!!!  This year instead of traveling hundreds of miles to teach and show the youth how to serve we decided to stay in Lafayette and serve in our own community.  I'll be honest, a few weeks before our mission it looked like I was going to have to cancel it-I had 2 kids signed up, lots of "maybe's" from the majority of the rest of the group, and worst of all, we didn't have any feasible projects to work on!  What's a mission trip without a mission?  Well of course God is good......kids showed up, we got 3 project requests, folks signed up to help feed us....things were looking great!!  Then I saw the weather report-thunderstorms for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  Seriously???  We needed a break!  Well of course, God is good....we painted a mom's entire house our first day-no rain-and got to celebrate by going to Happy Hollow pool that night to cool off.  Day two, we transformed flower beds for Stephanie Brennan's mom and gr

Little Dresses for Haiti

Would you like to make a difference to a girl in Haiti?  You can do this by donating pillowcases to the Little Dresses for Haiti project.  Donated pillowcases may be placed in the basket located near the information table at the back of the sanctuary.

These pillowcases will be turned into dresses by local volunteers. The finished dresses are taken periodically to Haiti by area residents who are traveling to Haiti on various types of mission trips.

If you would like instructions to make the dresses yourself, see Janet Mauck or send her e-mail at janetm@purdue.edu. You also can join Little Dresses for Haiti on Facebook to get more information and find out when periodic group dress-making sessions are held.
